Experience Across Markets & Businesses
From Vision to Execution
Yukiko Masaike has spent more than two decades building new businesses and markets, often beginning at the stage where the answer—and sometimes even the path forward—has yet to be defined.
She began her career in financial planning and business management, before expanding into business strategy, marketing, organizational transformation, new business development, and international market development. Her experience spans technology, healthcare, consumer businesses, regional development, and culture.
Her work has taken her across multiple markets, including the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, the United States, and Asia, including China, where she has developed new business opportunities and helped build businesses in unfamiliar and evolving market environments.
While based in the UK, she worked on an AI-driven new business initiative for a major Japanese technology company, contributing to business development across Europe and the Middle East as well as the early stage of U.S. market development. Her work included developing opportunities with large enterprises, building partnership strategies, shaping market-entry approaches, and connecting emerging technology to real commercial opportunities.
Earlier in her career, she also led market development in the UK and Europe, developed sales and marketing strategies across China and other Asian markets, and worked on business transformation and organizational change.
Across industries and geographies, the way she sees a business has remained consistent.
She begins by making the future state as concrete as possible, then works backward to the present.
Rather than treating strategy, product, brand, sales, partnerships, organization, and execution as separate disciplines, she looks at how they connect—and whether they are actually moving the business in the same direction.
That perspective does not stop at high-level strategy.
A line of copy.
A creative decision.
A social media post.
A sales presentation.
An event experience.
A partnership choice.
She looks at these details not simply as individual outputs, but as expressions of the larger business and brand direction.
For Yukiko, seeing the big picture and judging the quality of what happens on the ground are not separate capabilities.
A small inconsistency can lead her back to a deeper issue in brand understanding, strategy, or business structure. At the same time, a future market she is trying to build may influence something as specific as a word, a visual, or the way an experience is designed today.
Today, she remains deeply involved in a long-term business development initiative focused on building a new category and market in the United States.
The common thread throughout her career is working where established answers or playbooks do not yet exist—connecting complex moving parts and turning emerging possibilities into businesses and markets that can actually work in the real world.
